A leather dress does something no other dress does. It holds its own shape. It doesn’t cling to a mood or wilt through the night — it stands, and it lets you stand in it.
We cut dresses in lightweight full-grain lambskin, chosen for drape rather than stiffness. Lambskin is the softest garment leather, which is why it moves like fabric while behaving like leather. Every dress is lined, so leather never sits directly against your skin.
Bust, waist and hip are the three measurements that matter. Leather does not stretch, so a dress cut slightly small stays slightly small — send your measurements and we cut to them at no extra cost.
Wrap and A-line styles are the most forgiving. Bodycon and strapless are the least, and we recommend sending your measurements for us to check before ordering either.
Lightweight lambskin in mini and slip silhouettes works right through a New Zealand summer, particularly in the evening once the temperature drops after sunset. Long-sleeve midi and maxi styles come into their own from March onwards.
Yes, when the leather weight and lining are right. EXODUS dresses use lightweight lambskin with a smooth lining, so leather never touches your skin directly. Lambskin softens and moulds to your body with wear, becoming more comfortable over time.
A lightweight lambskin mini or slip dress. New Zealand summer evenings cool noticeably after sunset, particularly on the coast, which is exactly when a leather dress becomes comfortable rather than warm.
Yes. Every EXODUS dress runs from XS to 4XL, and any dress can be cut to your exact measurements at no additional cost.
Store on a wide padded hanger, never folded. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Wipe marks with a barely damp cloth and air dry naturally. Condition every 6–12 months, more often near the coast.
